Nick Seward grew up watching Daniel Negreanu play poker. Now he’s beaten him heads-up for his first PokerGO Tour title and a $412,500 payday.

Seward topped 50 entries in the $26,000 No-Limit Hold’em event at PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, winning the ninth tournament of the 2026 Poker Masters. He discussed that childhood connection in a winner’s interview with PokerNews.

Four kings swing the match

The lead changed when Seward flopped four kings. Negreanu called bets on the flop and turn before folding to the river shove, but the chips already committed put Seward ahead.

Seward then made a full house on the same river card that gave Negreanu a flush. Negreanu again folded, but the pot widened Seward’s lead.

Seward finished the job when his king-jack held against Negreanu’s king-ten after calling Negreanu’s all-in shove. Negreanu earned $262,500 for second.

Already a WSOP bracelet winner

Seward already had a World Series of Poker bracelet. He won Event #31, a six-handed no-limit hold’em tournament, at the 2024 WSOP.

He also credited his poker circle for pushing him to work hard, telling PokerNews that the people around him had helped drive his progress.

Seward stays in the series-title race

The win moved Seward to third in the series standings, behind Adrian Mateos and Nick Palma. With one event left, he was still in contention for the Poker Masters championship and its Purple Jacket.
