An online casino player in Pennsylvania hit two progressive jackpot wins totaling $1.4 million within the space of nine months.
The operator revealed news of the win this week. The player, from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, first hit $1 million in August 2023, and then hit $400,000 in May of this year.
Both wins were at the BetMGM-run Borgata online casino, and were on Bison Fury slot games. Borgata online casino is run using the license of BetMGM owner MGM Resorts International’s Atlantic City casino hotel, Borgata.

The Wins
Back in August 2023, the unnamed Pennsylvania resident was playing $10 spins on the popular Bison Fury slot game. The game was developed by GVC Holdings, now Entain, who have a 50% partnership stake in MGM Resorts’ online operations under BetMGM.
The 5 x 4 reel, 1000 ways to win slot game is now exclusive to BetMGM casinos, which includes Borgata. Normally, it has a max payout of 1250x. But it has since been connected to The Big One Progressive jackpot.
It is this progressive prize that the unnamed player hit, bagging a cool $1 million of just a $10 bet. But eight months later, he would be back for more.
This time, he was playing the Bison Fury sequel, Bison Fury: Stampede, which is also linked to the Big One Progressive. And he hit it again, scooping a $417,404 prize off an $18 bet.
Bet MGM Jackpots
BetMGM is the largest online casino operator in the U.S. At the end of 2023, the operator said it awarded $150 million in jackpots that year through its online casinos. That included November 2023’s $3 million win on Bison Fury.
This double win is the first time any player has hit two progressive jackpots in less than a year on the BetMGM platform.
However, it’s certainly not the only case of a gambler hitting two big wins in one year. In fact, earlier in 2024, one player at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas hit an astonishing four jackpot prizes in just one week of gambling at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
The high-stakes player walked away $1.36 million richer after hitting the four progressive prizes. All the wins were on Dragon Link slot machines, a game by Aristocrat Gaming.
